Caroline Vogel , LPC/MHSP (T) MS MDiv
Caroline’s Experience
I am working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider (LPC/ MHSP (T). I obtained my undergraduate degree in psychology from DePauw University, my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee, and my Masters in Divinity from Harvard Divinity School. Over the last twenty-five years, I have engaged people’s journeys as a counselor, palliative care chaplain, spiritual director and episcopal priest. I have a passion for guiding people into deeper wholeness and health. I specialize in working with trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, spiritual/religious trauma, anxiety, stress management, life transitions, and codependency. I see adult individuals for therapy and couples for pre-marital counseling (only).
My Approach & Values
I work alongside individuals to engage their true, authentic self, discover what gets in the way of anchoring in the true self, and then utilize a variety of approaches to assist people in living, working, engaging self and others from this empowered, authentic core with resiliency. I have a particular passion for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). I have experienced the life changing effects of this modality myself. And, I find great joy in journeying alongside clients as they harness the inherent healing ability of their brain combined with the wisdom of their body to create meaningful, life changing shifts in their own lives. In addition to EMDR and IFS (Internal Family Systems), I utilize mindfulness, meditation and breath work with my clients pulling from my certifications as a facilitator of Brené Brown’s work The Daring Way™, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Breath-Body-Mind™.
