My Unique Approach
Being from a diverse city like New York has given me a deep appreciation for different cultures and experiences, which I bring into my work as a therapist. Now living in Tennessee, I create an inclusive, affirming space for all, including the LGBTQIA+ community. As someone with ADHD, I personally relate to the challenges of neurodivergence and use this understanding to connect deeply with my clients. My approach is compassionate yet direct—I believe in addressing challenges openly and collaboratively, empowering you with tools and strategies to achieve meaningful growth and healing.

Why Choose Private Pay Therapy?
Working with a private-pay mental health counselor offers a personalized and flexible experience, free from the restrictions of insurance companies. It ensures your records remain confidential and allows you to choose a therapist who truly aligns with your needs and goals. Private-pay counselors often have smaller caseloads, providing you with focused, high-quality care. This approach removes barriers like insurance approvals, giving you quicker access to therapy and the freedom to prioritize your mental health on your terms. We are able to adjust the length and frequency of sessions to meet your needs without prior approval or extenuating circumstances.

The Creekside Counseling and Wellness Difference
All clinicians at Creekside Counseling and Wellness receive professional support and consultation from Bonnie Barclay, ensuring a high standard of care. Like Bonnie, I completed EMDR training through the EMDR Institute, founded by Dr. Francine Shapiro, the creator of EMDR therapy. This rigorous training ensures that you can trust in the effectiveness and professionalism of our methods. At Creekside, we prioritize clinician self-care, recognizing that a well-supported therapist provides the best care for clients. Our serene office location, nestled beside a peaceful creek, offers an opportunity for mindfulness and reflection before and after your sessions.
