About Me

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a Master’s degree in Social Work, a concentration in Clinical Practice, and a graduate certificate in Trauma Treatment from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Drawing on several years of experience in helping professions, I bring a warm, relational, and compassionate approach to therapy, meeting each client with curiosity and respect for their unique story.

Experience & Specialties

I work with children (ages 3+), teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, low self-worth, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or difficulties in their relationships. Often, these struggles have roots in earlier experiences that shape how we see ourselves, relate to others, and respond to the world around us. Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand these connections, work through experiences that continue to affect the present, and build a stronger sense of self, healthier relationships, and greater freedom to move forward.

I have received advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am certified in TraumaPlay and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for younger clients.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe healing begins with feeling safe enough to be seen, understood, and accepted as you are. My therapeutic style is gentle, nurturing, and empowering, grounded in the belief that each person deserves to be met with compassion rather than judgment. I view therapy as a collaborative process where we make room for your experiences, honor your strengths, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

I draw from relational and experiential approaches, along with somatic techniques, nervous system regulation, and Internal Family Systems-informed concepts, to support healing in ways that reflect each client’s needs and goals.

Whether we are helping a child express big feelings, supporting a teen through challenges with identity or relationships, or helping an adult make sense of long-standing patterns, my goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges. I want therapy to be a place where hope becomes more accessible, new possibilities begin to emerge, and you can move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

Reaching out for support takes courage. I would be honored to walk alongside you in the messy, meaningful, and sometimes unexpected journey of healing and growth.

I practice under the direct supervision of Lindsay Preskenis, LCSW #6953, and Bonnie Barclay, LCSW #3586, as I work toward independent licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
