Emma J. Allocco, LPC-MHSP, NCC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP). I hold both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Carson-Newman University and am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with over six years of experience in the mental health field. I received my basic EMDR training from the EMDR Institute and I am working toward EMDRIA certification.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I specialize in helping clients heal from overwhelming and painful experiences using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a primary treatment approach. I also incorporate a range of evidence-based methods to support each person’s unique goals and circumstances. Together, we work on building effective communication, managing symptoms, and developing tools to foster growth and resilience. My goal is to support and empower you on your journey to healing and personal growth. I’m especially passionate about working with individuals navigating complex trauma histories, PTSD, grief and loss, anxiety, recovery from substance use, ADHD, as well as recent or single-incident trauma, childhood trauma, and relational wounds.
Growing up in a diverse city like New York has given me a deep appreciation for different cultures and experiences, which I bring into my work as a therapist. Now living in Tennessee, I create an inclusive, affirming space for all, including the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodivergent individuals. My approach is compassionate yet direct—I believe in addressing challenges openly and collaboratively, empowering you with tools and strategies to achieve meaningful growth and healing. I strive to provide a safe and supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood.
